Markus Bäurle (* 15. October 1969 in Mannheim as Markus Bäurle ) is a former German football player.

Football career

Markus Bäurle played for SV Hoffeld and the Stuttgarter Kickers in his youth . In 1988 he moved to SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg , where he was promoted to the adult sector in 1989. In the following two years he made 54 appearances in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , in which he scored 20 goals. In 1991 he became German Vice Amateur Champion with the Ludwigsburg team . He then moved to 1. FC Nürnberg and played 20 Bundesliga games for the club from 1991 to 1993. In 1993 he went to SSV Reutlingen 05 , which qualified for the new regional league in 1994. Bäurle had been used in 29 games and scored four goals, but then stayed for another season in the league and came in 1994/95 for GSV Maichingen to 15 missions and four goals. In 1995 he moved back to the regional league for SpVgg Ludwigsburg. By 1997 he played 49 league games and scored three goals.

After active football

Markus Freiherr von Rotberg works in the insurance industry after his football career. Initially employed by the Stuttgarter Lebensversicherung and HDI-Gerling , he has been regional director at Swiss Life since 2011 . Since 2013 he has been a member of the Bavarian Economic Advisory Board. In 2015 he ran for the board of directors of TSV 1860 Munich , in whose football department he joined in 2013 as a passive member.
