Markus Gröger (born May 30, 1991 in Berlin ) is a German football player .

Career

Gröger was trained at FSV Frankfurt . In 2010 he made his first appearances for the 2nd team in the Regionalliga Süd . He developed into an important part of the team, but switched to city rivals Eintracht Frankfurt in 2012 . There he also played first for the 2nd team in the Regionalliga Südwest . In the 2013/14 season , the then 22-year-old Gröger was appointed captain. He completed a total of 58 games for Eintracht and scored one goal.

In 2014, Gröger took his next career step. After strong performances in Frankfurt, the third division Hansa Rostock noticed him. Gröger signed a two-year contract with the club on the Baltic Sea until June 30, 2016. He made his professional debut on August 23, 2014 when he was in the game at SSV Jahn Regensburg (4: 4) from coach Peter Vollmann in the 80th minute for Robin Krauße was substituted on. For the 2016/17 season he moved to the Hessian club SC Borussia Fulda , which merged two years later to form SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lehnerz .
