Markus Ibert

Markus Ibert (born November 19, 1967 in Ettenheim ) is the Lord Mayor of Lahr / Black Forest .

Life

He made the technical college entrance qualification at the vocational schools "Im Mauerfeld" in Lahr. He completed his studies for the higher non-technical administration service at the University of Public Administration in Kehl with a degree in administration . From 1993 to 2004 he was department head at the Lahr city treasury. From 2005 to 2019 he was the association director of the intermunicipal special purpose association IGP and the managing director of IGZ Raum Lahr GmbH. He has been Lord Mayor of Lahr since Friday, November 1, 2019. He won with 55% of the vote in the second ballot as a non-party candidate against Christine Buchheit.

Markus Ibert has been married to Marion Ibert since 1998 and has three children together.
