Markus Kaufmann (* 1981 ) is a German racing cyclist who specializes in mountain biking .
Kaufmann was German champion in the mountain bike marathon in 2012 and 2016 . He competed in this discipline several times at world championships , his best placement was a sixth place in 2015. With his partner Jochen Käß , he won the Bike Transalp stage race in 2014 and 2015 and the Zillertal Challenge 6 times .
