List of Members of the Second Ordinary United State Parliament of the Duchies of Anhalt-Dessau and Anhalt-Köthen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list names the members of the second ordinary United State Parliament of the Duchies of Anhalt-Dessau and Anhalt-Köthen from 1849 to 1850.

After the March Revolution , the constituent state parliament had drawn up a constitution. The right to vote was established in the Electoral Act of February 24, 1849. The so elected first ordinary Landtag met in 11 sessions between June 4, 1849 and its dissolution on November 12, 1849. After the dissolution of the first state parliament, new elections were held in December 1849. The entire state parliament of Anhalt-Dessau and Anhalt-Köthen consisted of 44 members. The electoral term was two years. In matters that only affected one part of the duchy, the 22 members of the individual state could be called to special parliaments. The list therefore names the two special parishes separately. The entire state parliament consisted of the sum of all members. The presidium of the united state parliament was formed by the following people:
