Georg of Anhalt-Dessau
Georg Bernhard von Anhalt-Dessau (born February 21, 1796 in Dessau , † October 16, 1865 in Dresden ) from the house of the Askanians was a prince of Anhalt-Dessau .
Life
Georg was the second son of Hereditary Prince Friedrich von Anhalt-Dessau (1769–1814) from his marriage to Christiana Amalie (1774–1846), daughter of Landgrave Friedrich V of Hesse-Homburg .
Georg had a palace named after him built on Kavalierstrasse in Dessau, which, with its costs of 45,000 thalers, plunged the prince into deep debt. The building was renamed Palais Reina in 1900 and later housed the Anhaltische Gemäldegalerie . The palace was completely destroyed in the Second World War.
Marriages and offspring
Georg married Karoline (1804–1829) on August 6, 1825 in Rudolstadt, daughter of Prince Karl Günter von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt , with whom he had the following children:

After the death of his first wife, he married Therese Emma (1807–1848), daughter of Julius Bernhard Richard von Erdmannsdorff , on October 4, 1831 in Dresden , who was raised in 1831 to "Countess von Reina". The children of this marriage bore the title Countess or Count von Reina:
