Markus Olimstad (born January 16, 1994 ) is a Norwegian snowboarder . He starts in the disciplines of slopestyle and big air .

Career

Olimstad has been participating in the TTR World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2012 . In the 2014/15 season he won his first victories in slopestyle at the Norgescup in Vierli and at the Pamporovo Freestyle Open. The following season he won the Slopestyle European Cup in Vars and took 17th place in Big Air at the X-Games Oslo 2016. He made his World Cup debut in February 2016 in Phoenix Snow Park , which he placed 13th finished in slopestyle. In March 2018, he became Norwegian Big Air Champion. At the X-Games Norway 2018 in Fornebu , he finished 12th in Big Air. In January 2019, he won his first World Cup victory in Slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi . At the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City he came in 45th place in Slopestyle and at the X-Games Norway 2019 in ninth place in Big Air.
