Markus Ornig

Markus Ornig (born September 25, 1979 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS ). Since 2015 he has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

education and profession

After attending the Bad Radkersburg high school, Markus Ornig completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman , which he completed in 1999. From 2010 he studied at the Hohe Warte study center, completing his studies in 2012 as a Master of Business Administration . He has been working in sales and marketing since 1999, and has been running his own marketing and event agency since 2004.

politics

Since 2014 he has acted as Deputy Federal Spokesman and State Coordinator Vienna for UNOS Entrepreneurial Austria, and since May 2015 he has been Deputy State Spokesman for NEOS Vienna. On November 24, 2015, he was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council in the 20th electoral term , where he is a member of the City Council Committee for Finance, Economics and International Affairs.

In the state and municipal council elections in Vienna 2020 he is running for fourth place on the list.
