Markus Pohanka (* 1974 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian television presenter .

Life

Pohanka studied commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and wrote his diploma thesis on “e-democracy in Vienna”. During his studies he already worked in various areas for the ORF, where he worked, among other things, as an editor, moderator and assistant to the general manager. Between 2002 and 2009, Pohanka moderated the television program Wien heute , whereby he also acted as head of the program at times. In July 2009, Pohanka hosted a program on “Wien heute” for the last time and in August 2009 moved to Austro Control as head of the “External Relations” department .
