Markus Weller

Markus Alexander Weller (born July 2, 1965 in Cologne ) is a German art and antiques dealer .

Life

Weller is an expert on icons and Russian handicrafts from the 17th to the early 20th centuries. He is a member of the German Art Dealers Association and the International Confederation of Art and Antique Dealers Associations (CINOA). At the age of 19 he opened his first business branch for the sale of antiques in Düsseldorf . Today he runs two shops in Düsseldorf's Carlstadt .

Weller gained notoriety in the national public through his appearances in the sixth season of the ZDF television series Bares for Rares , in which he assessed exhibits presented to him in 2015 and 2016 as an expert on their market value.
