Markutiškiai is a village with 78 inhabitants (as of 2011) in Lithuania , in the Šilai district , in the Jonava district ( Kaunas district ), a few kilometers from the central town of Jonava , 6 km northeast of Šilai , not far from the A6 highway. It is the center of the Markutiškiai sub-district ( Markutiškių seniūnaitija ). There is the Markutiškiai manor , a cultural monument. The Lokys flows to the east of the village . The place was mentioned in a document in 1744.
