Markwart Schmidt

Markwart Schmidt (born June 11, 1937 in Pirmasens ; † December 9, 1980 in Wolfsburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing elementary school, he attended the humanistic high school in Pirmasens . He then studied social sciences in Wilhelmshaven, Berlin and Göttingen and completed his studies in 1962 with a diploma. He then worked from 1962 to 1967 at the Evangelical Academy Loccum as head of youth education. From 1967 to 1970 he worked as a social science consultant at the Hanoverian State Social Parish Office and from 1970 took over the management of the industrial diaconate in Wolfsburg Arche . He joined the SPD in 1963. From June 21, 1978 to December 9, 1980 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (9th electoral period).

He was married and had two children.
