Marlies Marken (born January 29, 1950 in Bremerhaven ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

education and profession

After completing secondary school, Marken attended a two-year commercial college. From 1971 to 1974 he was trained as a senior civil servant at the Bremerhaven municipal authorities. She has been working as an administrative clerk since 1982, since her membership in the citizenry, the employment relationship has been suspended according to the Bremen law on representatives.

Marken has been a member of the SPD since 1970.

From 1987 to 2011 she was a member of the Bremen Parliament. From 1995 to the beginning of 2002 and from mid-2003 to the beginning of 2005 she was a member of the board of the Bremen citizenship as secretary. From 1991 to 1995, from January 2002 to mid-2003 and since January 2005 she was deputy parliamentary group leader of the SPD parliamentary group in the citizenry.

She was in the citizenship committees for the ports, for the facilitation of people's legislation and further development of the electoral law, for constitutional and procedural rules, judge elections, the control committee according to the police law, a temporary committee, the legal committee and the works committee Performa Nord as well as in the deputations for home affairs and represented for the fishing port.
