Marsha Megan "Meg" Karlin (birth name: Megan Welles ) is one of Wales native American musician and songwriter who twice for Oscar and once for an Emmy nominee and also the stage name Tylwyth Kymry wore.

Megan Welles was the musician and namesake of the Meg Welles quintet in the 1960s , and during this time she met the composer Fred Karlin in 1962 , whom she later married.

In the 1970s she wrote song lyrics at the side of her husband , also using the stage name Tylwyth Kymry as a tribute to her Welsh family.

Under this stage name she and Fred Karlin were nominated for the Oscar for best film music for 100 dollars more when it's a boy (1970) at the Academy Awards in 1971 . Under her name Marsha Karlin , she and her husband received another Oscar nomination at the 1973 Academy Awards: This time for the Oscar for best song for "Come Follow, Follow Me" from the movie When the Dykes Break (The Little Ark, 1972). In 1977 she was finally nominated for an Emmy with Fred Karlin under the name Meg Karlin for the song "Early in the Morning" from the television film Minstrel Man (1977).
