Martín Caballero , full name Diego Martín Caballero Manzanares , (born June 13, 1991 or June 16, 1991 ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.72 meter tall defensive player Caballero has Uruguayan citizenship, but grew up in Tablada, Argentina , and went through the youth teams of Nueva Chicago from fútbol 5 . In May 2012 he signed his first professional contract. He has been on the Nueva Chicago professional squad since at least the 2012/13 season. That season he was used 16 times in the Primera B Nacional . At least in 2012 he also worked as a coach for the youth teams born in 2003 and 2006. Also in the 2013/14 season he played in 25 league games in the Primera B Metropolitana . His team finished the season as champions. After promotion and the associated return to Primera B Nacional, he played there in five games in 2014. Having arrived in the top class with the club in 2015, he played six games in the Primera División in 2016 . He did not score a league goal during his time at Nueva Chicago. In mid-February 2016, he moved to Spain for FC Girona . So far (as of July 2, 2017) there have been no missions for him.
