Louis Bodez

Louis Bodez (born April 24, 1938 in Saint-Brieuc , † September 12, 1995 in Rennes ) was a French football player .

Career

The 177 centimeter tall defender Bodez, who was known for his body-hugging game, started playing football in his hometown at the Stade Saint-Brieuc . In 1960 he moved to the Stade Rennes UC , where he was primarily intended for the amateur team. On August 21, 1960, however, enabled him coach Henri Guérin his debut for the professional team in the first division when the then 22-year-old Bodez was in a 3-2 win against FC Toulouse on the field.

Following his professional debut, Bodez posted occasional appearances in the top division. This changed from the 1962/63 season, when he only wore the amateurs' jersey. In total, he had come to eleven first division games with one goal by then. In 1964 he returned to the Stade Saint-Brieuc and spent the rest of his time in football. He died in 1995 at the age of 57.
