Marta Laureano
Marta Laureano is a Mexican- woman on August 16, 1995 in Amarillo in the American state of Texas after a trial for child abuse has been committed by the District Judge Samuel Kiser court order, English to speak with her daughter.
Marta Laureano wanted to speak her mother tongue, Spanish, with the child because he would grow up bilingually . The divorced English-speaking father, on the other hand, complained that the child otherwise only learns English from him, which is not enough. He won the trial. The judge reasoned that if the daughter started first grade and could not even speak the language spoken by the teachers and the other children, even though she was a full American citizen, the child would be abused and relegated to the position of a maid.
