Marta Wyka
Marta Wyka (born January 7, 1938 in Cracow ) is a Polish literary historian and literary critic . In her scientific research she is mainly concerned with the Polish literature of the 20th century.
Life
Wyka studied Polish at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. In 1961 she made her debut as a literary critic in the magazine Współczesność . She was the co-founder and editor of the monthly Pismo . In 1999 she founded the Chair of Contemporary Criticism (Katedra Krytyki Współczesnej) at the Jagiellonian University, which she headed until 2009. From 2007 to 2009 she was a member of the jury for the Nike Literature Prize .
She is the editor-in-chief of Dekada Literacka magazine .
