Martha T. Roth
Martha Tobi Roth (* 1952 ) is an American ancient orientalist and professor at the Oriental Institute of Chicago .
Roth studied at Case Western Reserve University , where she received her bachelor's degree in 1974. It was then in 1975 at the University of Pennsylvania for PhD doctorate. After a year as a "Research Associate" she became an Associate Professor at the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago , where she has taught since then and edited the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary, among other things . Her research focus is on cuneiform law . She also currently serves as the Dean of the Humanities Faculty at the University of Chicago.
