Martin Cajthaml
Martin Cajthaml (born December 25, 1971 in Prague ) is a Czech philosopher .
Life
After studying philosophy at Charles University in Prague (1991–1993), he studied philosophy and psychology at the International Academy of Philosophy (IAP) in Liechtenstein , where he defended his thesis in 1996 and obtained his doctorate in 2000 . After receiving his doctorate, he worked as an assistant professor at the IAP until 2007 before moving to the theological faculty in Olomouc . Here he worked as an assistant professor, since 2010 he has headed the Department of Philosophy and Patrology. He completed his habilitation in 2011 at the Philosophical Faculty of the Palacký University in Olomouc. He is married and has four kids.
He mainly focuses on Platonic philosophy, phenomenology (personality of Jan Patočka ) and ethics of Dietrich von Hildebrand .
