Martin Driever

Martin Driever (born October 5, 1969 ) is a former German football player .

career

The 1.95 meter tall tight end played in the Bundesliga with the Düsseldorf Panthers . In addition, he was under contract for two playing years with teams in the World League of American Football (later NFL Europe ): 1995 and 1996 with Frankfurt Galaxy , 1997 and 1998 with Rhein Fire . With Frankfurt Driever won the World Bowl in June 1995 , a year later he was with the team again in the final of the World League of American Football, but lost there against the Scottish Claymores . He also made it to the World Bowl with Rhein Fire in 1997 , but it wasn't enough to win against the Barcelona Dragons before Driever won the final with the Düsseldorf team in June 1998, beating his former employer Frankfurt Galaxy in the Waldstadion .

With Germany's national team, Driever finished second at the 2000 European championship, then European champion in 2001.
