Barcelona Dragons
The American football team Barcelona Dragons was a founding member of NFL Europe in 1991 .
In the first season, they were the only team that could beat the London Monarchs . In the first World Bowl , however, the Londoners won their home game at Wembley .
The Dragons wore their home games at Olympic Stadium Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys of Barcelona , where the 1992 Summer Olympics were held.
Under their only coach, El Caballero Jack Bicknell , the Dragons won the World Bowl once in 1997, but lost in 1991, 1999 and 2001.
In 2002 the Dragons joined FC Barcelona .
After the 2003 season, the Dragons were dissolved and replaced in 2004 by the Cologne Centurions .
