Jack Bicknell

Jack Bicknell (born February 20, 1938 ) is a former American football coach who has coached the Hamburg Sea Devils , a German American football team that played in the NFL Europe .

Jack Bicknell , also known as Cowboy Jack because of his love of country music , began his career in 1976 as a coach at the University of Maine , where he stayed until 1980. He then went to Boston College as a trainer , where he worked until 1990. In 1991 he moved to NFL Europe to the Barcelona Dragons , with whom he also reached the final of the World Bowl , which his team lost to the London Monarchs 0:21 . In 1997 he managed to win his first title with the Dragons by beating Rhein Fire . In October 2003 he moved to the Scottish Claymores . When the Claymores stopped playing in 2005, Bicknell finally switched to the Hamburg Sea Devils, who took the place of the Claymores. Jack Bicknell later resigned as Head Coach of the Hamburg Sea Devils for health reasons.
