Scottish Claymores

The Scottish Claymores were an American football team in the NFL Europe (NFLE) from 1995 . In tables they were kept with the short form Scotland or Scotland . The claymore , a broadsword , was chosen as a name or symbol .

The home games were at Hampden Park of Glasgow and earlier in the Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh discharged. The greatest success was the 1996 32:27 victory in the World Bowl against Frankfurt Galaxy . Another World Bowl was lost to Rhein Fire in 2000 .

After the end of the 2004 season, the team stopped playing after a total of 100 league games with 43 wins and 57 defeats. The successors were the Hamburg Sea Devils .
