Martin Jetter

Martin Jetter (* 1959 ) is a German manager. Since 2015 he has been senior vice president at IBM , the Group Division Global Technology Services . From November 2006 to May 2011 he was Chairman of the Management Board of IBM Germany .

Career

Jetter studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart and graduated with a diploma.

In 1986 he came to IBM. He was promoted to General Manager Northeast Europe of IBM Global Business Services before becoming head of Germany in November 2006. In May 2011 he handed over the management of IBM Germany to Martina Koederitz .

He then moved to the corporate headquarters in Armonk as head of strategy at IBM Corporation . From May 2012 to the end of 2014, he was the first non-Japanese to head IBM Japan in 56 years. Martin Jetter has been Senior Vice President since January 2015 , first for IBM Global Technology Services , currently as Chairman of IBM Europe.In December 2019, it was announced that Jetter would succeed Joachim Faber in the position of Chief Controller of Deutsche Börse in May 2020 .

Jetter is a member of the board of trustees of the Konzertverein München eV and the board of trustees of the Deutsches Museum Munich .
