Martin Kouakou Fofié

Martin Kouakou Fofié (born January 1, 1968 ) is an Ivorian militia leader. In 2008 he was corporal and commander of the Forces Nouvelles in the Korhogo sector .

On December 10, 2008, EU sanctions against him came into force. In the process, its financial and economic resources were frozen. He has been charged with the recruitment of child soldiers, kidnappings, forced labor, sexual abuse of women, arbitrary arrests and extrajudicial executions under his command, in contravention of international humanitarian law. In addition, according to the EU, it disrupted the activities of the IWG, the Opération des Nations Unies en Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI) and the French armed forces and hindered the implementation of Resolution 1643 of the UN Security Council .
