Martin Nies

Martin Nies (* 1969 in Siegen ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

In 1999, after studying Nordic Philology, Modern German Literature and Media Studies, and Older German Literature / Linguistics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , he passed the master’s examination. From 1999 to 2003 he completed his doctoral studies as a scholarship holder of the DFG graduate college Imaginatio borealis: Perception, Reception and Construction of the North at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. After receiving his doctorate in 2003 as Dr. phil. in Kiel he was a research assistant at the chair for modern German literary studies at the University of Passau from 2003 to 2009 . After completing his habilitation in 2009 in the subjects of Modern German Literature and Media Studies in Passau , from 2009 to 2015 he was a temporary senior advisor at the Chair of Modern German Literature at the University of Passau. In 2015 he was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Passau. From 2015 to 2017 he was a lecturer at the Chair of Modern German Literature at the University of Passau and at the Department of German Studies at the European University of Flensburg. Since 2017 he has been a teacher for special tasks at the Department of German Studies at the University of Flensburg .
