Martin Pöt Stoldt

Martin Pöt Stoldt (* 1963 in Oberhausen ) is a German non-fiction author .

Life

Stoldt comes from a long-established north German family. Today he has 3 siblings and grew up in Oberhausen , Mülheim an der Ruhr and Duisburg , among others .

In 2004, Stoldt founded the Internet forum Der Sauerteig - the unknown being , under his name “Pöt” , which is currently the largest German-speaking baking forum on the subject of sourdough . In 2009 he published his first non-fiction book on sourdough. The title is now in its 11th edition (2019). In 2017, 2018 and 2020 further non-fiction books appeared in the book series "Successful baking with Pöt" in the publishing house Eugen Ulmer in Stuttgart.

Stoldt is of Jewish faith. He holds widespread lectures on the subject of Judaism in southern Germany, including for the State Center for Political Education in Baden-Württemberg . He leads interreligious working groups and publicly celebrates Jewish festivals in Buttenhausen .

Stoldt has been a self-employed IT consultant in Münsingen since 2012 . He is divorced and has a daughter.
