Martin Speiser (born October 28, 1983 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian basketball player . He plays at UBC St. Pölten .
career
Speiser went through the youth department of the UBC St. Pölten and made the leap into the men's team. In 2004 he rose to the Bundesliga with this . He developed into the team's top performer and became captain. He achieved the best points average of his Bundesliga career in the 2008/09 season when he recorded 18.7 points per match. In 2014 he was relegated to the second division with St. Pölten and remained loyal to his home club here as well. In the 2014/15 and 2015/16 game years, the internet service eurobasket.com named him “Player of the Year” in the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2016 he led the team to win the second division title.
National team
Speiser was an Austrian team player and participated with the national team in, among other things, eliminations for the European Championship.
