Martin Willi

Martin Willi (born April 5, 1964 in Brislach ) is a Swiss writer, director and actor and manager of the kultSCHÜÜR event venue in Laufenburg in the Swiss canton of Aargau .

Career

Willi started as an actor in 1990, and in 1995 he wrote his first play "De Wilddieb vom Kornberg". Since then, more than 40 pieces have been written, translated or reworked, such as children's plays, socially critical plays, crime novels, psychological thrillers, folk plays in the peasant milieu, comedies. In 2001 the theater book “Relax, Concentrate, Present” was published.

Since 2003 Willi has been the director of the theater WIWA in Laufenburg . From 2002 to 2004 he completed a postgraduate degree in theater education. In 2008 he tried his hand at a new genre as a writer with "Adventure in Calgary"; the youth novel was his first work in fiction. In 2018 he presented a detective novel with "The End of the Catwalk".

Willi has been operations manager at kultSCHÜÜR Laufenburg since 2014. He also works as a painter. In his studio he mainly creates abstract acrylic paintings . He is co-initiator and director of the cross-border cultural grant of the two cities of Laufenburg with the title "Burgschreiber (in) zu Laufenburg".
