Martina Fiess

Martina Fiess (* 1964 in Pforzheim ) is a German writer . She has published crime novels and crime stories since 2001 and has edited two wine crime anthologies.

Life

Martina Fiess studied art history, philosophy and political science in Würzburg and Stuttgart , did her doctorate in 1997 on Wassily Kandinsky and worked during and after her studies as a journalist, nonfiction editor and advertising copywriter. Today she works as an author and book coach. Since she was one of the winners of the crime competition “The Crime Lurks Everywhere” in 2001, she has published numerous crime stories and six novels. The heroine of her novels in the advertising scene is the copywriter and city guide Bea Pelzer, who solves crimes as an amateur investigator with her friend Jeannette and her ex-boyfriend Teddy. As co-editor, Martina Fiess also published two anthologies with wine thrillers . Her novels and many of her short stories are set in the greater Stuttgart area.

Since 2006 she has been a member of the crime writers network Syndikat and from 2000 to 2006 headed the Baden-Württemberg regional group of the crime writers' association Murderous Sisters (formerly Sisters in Crime).
