The Martinskirche in Angermünde is a neo-Gothic church building of the independent Evangelical Lutheran Church (Old Lutheran) . The towerless hall church with stepped gable and recessed polygonal chancel was built in 1854. The architect is unknown.

history

Old Lutheran congregations arose out of protest against the Prussian church union of 1817. It was founded in Angermünde in 1822. In 1845 the Old Lutherans were given the status of a recognized religious community, but they were not allowed to build representative churches with towers and bells. The Angermünder congregation got its own pastor in 1848. The church, one of the earliest new church buildings of the Old Lutherans, complied with the legal restrictions, but shows an unmistakably sacred character through stylistic elements of the Brandenburg brick Gothic.

In 1912 it was provided with an organ. In 1968/69 the interior was modernized. The building was renovated from 2000 to 2003.
