Martin's wine

Martin wine or Martin Strunk is the name for a young wine , which for the enjoyment of wine barrels at first Martinstag be opened. In connection with the veneration of St. Martin of Tours , the popular custom used to be particularly widespread in wine regions. It was part of the custom to distribute the Martin drink "as alms to those in need."
