Mary E. Hunt

Mary Elizabeth Hunt (* 1951 ) is an American Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Hunt studied Catholic theology at the Theological Union in Berkeley, California , the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, and Marquette University . She is co-founder of the American organization Women's Alliance for Theology, Ethics and Ritual (WATER) in Maryland . In 1984, Hunt was among the Roman Catholic theologians who signed the A Catholic Statement on Pluralism and Abortion campaign in the New York Times . She lives in Silver Spring , Maryland with her life partner and has a daughter. In many other individual contributions she wrote articles in various theological journals.
