In Silver Spring is the headquarters of the federal agency National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and a data center ( National Oceanographic Data Center ) as well as the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA, " Food and Drug Administration of the United States"), the Headquarters of the media company Discovery Communications , the headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventists and the headquarters of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious .
