Michael Ealy (* 3. August 1973 in Silver Spring , Maryland as Michael Brown ) is an American actor .

life and career

Michael Ealy was born in Silver Spring. He played soccer and basketball for Springbrook High School . After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Maryland . There he studied English. After graduating, he moved to New York .

Ealy is best known for his leading role in the television series Sleeper Cell , in which he plays an undercover agent who infiltrates an Islamist terrorist cell. This role brought him a nomination at the Golden Globe Awards 2007 in the category Best Actor - Miniseries or TV movie one. In 2012 he had a leading role in the series Common Law .

He also starred in Beyoncé's music video for Halo . He already did this for Mariah Carey's music video for Get your number .
