Lisa Ann Walter
Lisa Ann Walter (born August 3, 1963 in Silver Spring , Maryland ) is an American actress .
Life
Walter was born in Pennsylvania but grew up in a suburb of Washington, DC . Even as a child she had the desire to become a singer and gained her first experiences on stage. After finishing school, she graduated from the Catholic University of America with an acting degree and discovered the theater stage for herself. After moving to New York City Walter joined a comedian - amateur night on. Her apparently unintentionally funny appearance soon enjoyed great popularity, she caricatured the subjects of education , politics and sexuality . She became a mother for the first time at the age of 24 and took a short break. In the ABC - TV series Life's Work finally became known to a wide audience. There she played the role of a constantly busy lawyer who tries to lead her professional and private life in balance . Another television role followed as a television producer in the drama Breaking News . In 2001 Walter received a leading role in Emeril alongside Emeril Lagasse .
But Lisa Ann Walter was also seen more often in movies. After Hollywood became aware of her, she appeared as Claudine at Whoopi Goldberg's side in Eddie in 1996 . Two years later, she played Lindsay Lohan's nanny (then eleven years old) in the Disney film A Twin Seldom Comes Alone . She also got a small supporting role in the comedy Bruce Almighty . When the Japanese dance film Shall we dance? (1996) with Richard Gere , Jennifer Lopez, and Susan Sarandon , entitled May I Ask? was newly filmed, Walter was selected for the role of a passionate amateur dancer . She was also part of the cast of Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds that same year . She also made a guest appearance on season four of Nip / Tuck .
Lisa Ann Walter's trademark is the clear distancing from larger roles. Similar to Alec Baldwin , for example , the characters she portrays are never in the foreground of the central film scene. At the moment she is mainly devoted to her twin sons . The mother of four has been divorced from the father of her two other older children since 1999.
