Masakatsu Aoki

Masakatsu Aoki ( Japanese 青木 昌 勝 , Aoki Masakatsu ; * 1957 ) is a Japanese amateur astronomer . He works from his private observatory (to which Aoki Astronomical Observatory, IAU code 908) in the district of Tsukioka the city of Toyama in Toyama Prefecture and will be concentrating his work on the discovery of supernovae .

In addition to the 12 novae he discovered, he is the discoverer of several asteroids .
