Masato Saitō ( Japanese 斉 藤 雅人 , Saitō Masato ; born December 1, 1975 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Saitō learned to play soccer on the school team at Bunan High School . He signed his first contract in 1998 with the Omiya Ardija . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . In 2004 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League . For the club he completed 304 games. At the end of 2009 he ended his career as a football player.
