Masaya Nishitani ( Japanese 西 谷 正 也 , Nishitani Masaya ; born September 16, 1978 in Tokushima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Nishitani learned to play soccer on the school team at Hokuyo High School . He signed his first contract with Cerezo Osaka in 1997 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 99 first division games. In 2002 he moved to league competitor Vissel Kobe . For the club he completed 17 top division games. In 2004 he moved to the second division side Vegalta Sendai , then in 2005 to the first division Urawa Reds . In September 2005 he moved to the second division Consadole Sapporo . In 2007 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 108 games. At the end of 2008 he ended his career as a football player.
