Masohi ( Indonesian Kota Masohi ) is a place on the Indonesian island of Seram .

Masohi is located on the south coast of the central part of Seram Island. It is an autonomous city within the government district ( Kabupaten ) of the Central Moluccas ( Maluku Tengah ). The city is the capital of the administrative district.

In 2011 there were plans to move the capital of Maluku Province from Ambon to Masohi on August 19, 2012 . But this did not take place.

Transport and traffic

Masohi is one of the two places on Seram with a flight connection to the provincial capital Ambon. There is also a speedboat connection from Tulehu on Ambon .
