Matautu (Lefaga)
Matautu is a suburb (pito-nuʻu) of Lefaga on the southwest coast of Upolu in Samoa .
geography
The place is located in the west of the island of Upolu, in the district of Lefage and the district of A'ana . The next places are Gagaifoolevao and Savaia . Branch roads connect the place on the coast with the main road inland.
history
The location was used as the filming location for the film Return to Paradise (1953) starring Gary Cooper . The Return to Paradise Resort is still nearby today .
