Matías Acuña , full name Mathías Alexander Acuña Maciel , (born November 28, 1992 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

According to his club, the 1.74-meter-tall offensive player Acuña has been part of the squad of the first division side El Tanque Sisley since at least the 2012/13 season . In that season he completed an assignment in the Primera División . This was also his first division debut in a 0-1 defeat at River Plate in the Clausura on March 17, 2013, when he came on in the 83rd minute for Juan Marcarie . In the 2013/14 season he came to the train in 15 other first division matches and scored one goal. In the Apertura 2014 he was used eight times (no goal). In January 2015 he joined the second division club Central Español on loan from Luis "Ronco" López . In 2015 he played 15 games in the Segunda División and scored one goal. For the 2015/16 season he returned to El Tanque Sisley, was loaned to Villa Española for a month from September 9, 2015 , and after returning to the club in the 2015/16 season, he played 18 top division games (three goals). With El Tanque he was relegated at the end of the season. In the subsequent second division season of 2016, he scored twice in ten season appearances and won the second division championship with the team. In mid-January 2017, the first division club Centro Atlético Fénix signed him . For the Montevideans, he has played 21 league games and scored three goals in the current 2017 season (as of August 9, 2017).
