Matt Danowski

Matt Danowski (born August 12, 1985 in Farmingdale , NY ) is a professional American lacrosse player .

Danowski plays on the Duke University lacrosse team in attack after playing college lacrosse for 4 years. After the team's rape scandal, which could also be followed in the German media, long-time Duke coach Mike Pressler was replaced by Matt Danowski's father John. After a bad 2006 season, however, the team managed to be among the best in the country again, with a decisive contribution from Danowski.

Danowski was nominated for the Tewaaraton Trophy in 2007, as well as for the Lt. Raymond Enners Award and the Jack Turnbull Award .
