life and work

Loughrey began collecting glass negatives of old photographs in 2015. He initially focused on the work of Mathew B. Brady . He accidentally animated some of his photographs by using a multiplication camera by exposing up to eight images on a single plate. The images were exposed from slightly different angles. Loughrey colored the individual images and put them together to create new ones.

By using computer technology, he succeeded in adding individual images to old films, restoring them and making them appear as if they had been shot with modern film technology.
