Matt Riazzi (* 1970 ) is a retired American football player .

career

Riazzi played until 1993 at the University of Kentucky and from 1995 with the Braunschweig Lions in the Bundesliga . The 1.77 meter tall running back was initially part of the Lower Saxony squad until the end of the 2002 game year. With Braunschweig he won the German championship in 1997, 1998 and 1999 and the Eurobowl in 1999 . In addition, he reached the final of the German championship in 2000, 2001 and 2002 with the team and also the Eurobowl in 2002, but there you had to admit defeat.

In the 2003 season, Riazzi was in the service of the Braunschweig league rival Berlin Adler , after which he came back to Lower Saxony and strengthened the team in the game years 2004 and 2005 before he ended his career. In 2004 he was German runner-up with Braunschweig, in 2005 he won the title at the end of his time in Lower Saxony, so that he left the team as a four-time German champion. He scored a total of 854 points and 9246 yards of space in running attempts for the Lower Saxony. With the latter value, he set a club record. In 2016 Riazzi was accepted into the Braunschweig team's hall of fame .
