Matei Anton Aurel Eugen Ioan Florentin Vasiliu (born December 22, 1984 ), known as Matteo , is a Romanian pop singer .

Life

His mother is the writer Alexandra Vasiliu , his father was shot dead in the Romanian Revolution in 1989 on December 23rd. Matteo attended the German Hermann Oberth Grammar School in Bucharest and the Bucharest University Spiru Haret .

He was in a relationship with the singer Delia Matache , better known as Delia. In 2015, he took part in the eighth season of the television show Te cunosc de undeva! part won by Florin Ristei . It is the Romanian version of the Spanish reality TV singing show Tu Cara Me Suena .

Matteo became known through a collaboration with Loredana Groza and released the song Departe, departe with her in 2006 . He had other collaborations with the Romanian girl group Wassabi ( Have some fun with 21 , 2006), Delia ( Listen-Up and No No No , 2007), Cream și Marius Moga ( Știu ce-ți place , 2007), Narcotic Sound & Christian D ( Mamasita , 2010) and Alex Velea , Anda Adam , DJ Rynno & Silvia, Amsterdam Avenue, Bloggers, Taraful din Clejani, Connect-R ( Sunshine , 2011), Lidia Buble ( Mi-e bine , 2016) and Uddi ( Bună Mărie , 2017).

His solo releases from 2010 placed high in the Romanian airplay charts, such as Lovaman (2010), Champion (with Lee More), Bonita (2011) and Push It (2012). His ragga song Amândoi was a success in 2013 with 10th place at MediaForest and second place in the annual charts.

His song Panama from 2013 became a big video hit in 2017 in the People's Republic of China and Thailand with videos of dance choreographies created there. The original video had more than 130 million views on YouTube as of April 2020.
