Matthias Beck
Matthias Beck (* 1962 in Dettingen an der Erms ) is a German trumpeter , recorder and brass instrument maker .
Beck began playing the trumpet in 1973 in the trombone choir of the CVJM Dettingen. In 1978 he began studying the recorder with Heribert Rosenthal (concert exam) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart . After two semesters, he expanded his studies to include the trumpet. In addition to his music studies, he completed an apprenticeship as an instrument maker for brass instruments in Rüsselsheim , which he completed with the master's examination. In 1996 he took over his parents' music business in Dettingen, where he is also the director of the trombone choir. Beck has given concerts as a trumpeter with, among others, Hans-Jürgen Hufeisen and the organist Hildegundreiber .
