Matthias Rott (born February 19, 1974 in Bernau near Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Matthias Rott grew up in Brandenburg and Berlin and initially trained as a construction mechanic. At the age of 17 he played in the youth club of the Berliner Volksbühne, later he studied acting at the Felix-Mendelsohn-Bartholdy School in Leipzig, which he graduated with a diploma in 2000. His first engagements took him to the Darmstadt State Theater, the Rostocke Volkstheater, the Karlsruhe State Theater and the Heidelberg Theater, where he was not only engaged as an actor, but also directed.

He has been living freelance in Heidelberge since 2011 and is particularly connected to the independent theater scene. His productions took him to Swiss theaters, to Lichtenstein and to the Au Culture Days, which took place on the peninsula on Lake Zurich. He also appeared in various film and TV productions, e. B. in the crime scene and the Soko Stuttgart. For his role in the movie “Puya” by the Heidelberg director Shabaz Noushir, he was nominated for the “Best supporting actor award” at the International Film Festival in London.
