Matthias Schnegg

Matthias Schnegg (born October 10, 1947 ) is a German Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Life

Matthias Schnegg worked as a teacher in the Liebfrauenschule in Cologne from 1976 to 1980, then as a pastor and dean in Frechen . He later took on the role of diocesan charity pastor of the Archdiocese of Cologne, as well as that of pastor at two Romanesque churches in Cologne, St. Maria in the Capitol and St. Maria in Lyskirchen .

He is also involved in hospice and mourning work . In 2007, under the umbrella of the Caritas Foundation of the Archdiocese of Cologne, he founded the AGAPE Foundation Matthias Schnegg to support homeless people with addictions.

He is the spiritual guide of the volunteer community caritas in the Archdiocese of Cologne .
